Having a double mastectomy can be a somber and terrifying process, but one patient and her surgeons danced the nerves away… with a little help from Beyonce.

Deb Cohan, an Ob/Gyn and mom of two, held a flash mob to Bey’s “Get Me Bodied” in the operating room of Mt. Zion Hospital in San Francisco on Tuesday. Her goal was to transform “the solemn space of a hospital into a vibrant healing ward.”

She’s asking friends, family and anyone else in a twerkin’ mood to record similar clips, so she can watch them during her recovery. Share kind notes, photos and videos on Deb’s, or shall we say DeBeyonce’s, CaringBridge page! #DeBeyonce!

RYOT NOTE: One in eight women will get breast cancer in their lifetimes, but Deb is living proof that all obstacles are easier to overcome when you tackle them with a smile on. Click the Action Box atop this story to Tweet your support for Deb (aka #DeBeyonce) and Become the News!
