A new Superhero has emerged in the Internet world, delivering laughs instead of justice as one dad named Blake Wilson dons a Batman mask while he performs daily dad duties such as taking his kids to school.  Is it a coincidence that he has the same initials as Batman alter ego Bruce Wayne? Hmm.

The best reactions come from his wife, who is either startled, annoyed or just can’t help but laugh.

Wilson spoke to Buzzfeed about his own origin story (he found the mask while shopping for a birthday party) and his rising internet fan base.

I made that first vine about driving a minivan with the mask on and we just cracked up. It was so fun I just kept making them. I started getting comments from a lot of parents telling me how funny they are and how they can relate.

The vine is only a few weeks old and already has almost 140,000 followers. The vines bring to mind another Batman parody from Funny or Die.

We can't wait to see the Internet respond to Ben Affleck's iteration of Batman. Until then these darkly hilarious knights will definitely keep us entertained.

RYOT NOTE: Batdad may not be an actual crime fighter, but real cops and firefighters aim to keep our cities safe. That's why the Ben Roethlisberger Foundation seeks to support police and fire departments throughout the U.S. with a particular emphasis on support for K-9 units and service dogs.
